  • "Pivot foot for the Gospel"- Peter's Story

Growing up in the vast expanse of Xinjiang province in China, my childhood was steeped in the rhythms of rural life. Born into a farming family, my heart beat to the cadence of the land, but it was sports that ignited my spirit. Despite initially pursuing basketball, it was the allure of the 110-meter hurdles that captured my attention. With relentless dedication, I soared to become the champion of Xinjiang province, a triumph that beckoned the tantalizing prospect of Olympic glory in 2008. Yet, the dream crumbled, leaving me adrift in a sea of despair, grappling with shattered aspirations and a gnawing sense of purposelessness.

Amidst the wreckage of my dreams, a flicker of hope emerged in the summer of 2005. A team of American basketball stars descended upon my hometown, not just to compete but to share the Gospel. Though hesitant at first, their sincerity and warmth kindled a fire within me. Three months later, as I embarked on a new chapter at Beijing Sport University, I found myself drawn inexorably to the embrace of Jesus Christ. Since that pivotal moment, my journey has been one of unceasing growth, both in fellowship and within the church.

In 2017, I heeded the call to full-time ministry with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), a decision forged in the crucible of past trials and newfound faith. Guided by a shared vision with a dear friend, Jin Kang, we embarked on a mission to expand and enrich sports ministry in China.

Embedded within this journey is the enduring anchor of Philippians 3:13-14, a beacon of perseverance amid life's tempests. Yet, perhaps the most profound testament to God's faithfulness lies in the story of my son, Daniel Liu. Born amidst the tumult of ministry and personal struggles, his diagnosis with Phenylketonuria (PKU) threatened to unravel our faith. But in the crucible of uncertainty, God's handiwork was revealed. Through fervent prayer and unwavering trust, we witnessed the miraculous sustenance of our son, Daniel, echoing the resilience of his biblical namesake. Today, he stands as a testament to God's faithfulness, a living testament to His grace and provision.

In the tapestry of my life, woven with threads of triumph and tribulation, one truth resounds: God's faithfulness endures, illuminating the path forward with unwavering clarity and purpose.

L&C Stendal was founded in Germany at the end of the 19th century and pioneered metalworking in the furniture industry.

Their first collaboration began in the 1920s when they exclusively produced various Bauhaus designs,

which led to international popularity and great success.

In the 1930s, the company began producing chrome-plated steel furniture for interiors.

Following a long tradition, the company continues to produce high quality chrome steel furniture to this day,

Through continuous product development, we turn various ideas into marketable products.

  • Comeback 041

Comeback is a tubular steel stacking chair that was used millions of times in restaurants, cafeterias, canteens and private homes before the fall of the Berlin Wall. L&C Stendal offers this successful and proven model as a redesign. The chair has been technically and optically improved, but its design has remained virtually unchanged, and is now available in many colors. For many users, the space-saving aspect of stacking is just as important as the principle of arranging all components in a row so that they can be extended together. The simple and understated appearance of the chair once again shows that function and use are clearly in the foreground.
