  • "To the Unchurched"- William's Story

William Chang, born in Ipoh, grew up immersed in a bustling household with five brothers and two sisters. Soccer was their shared passion, and William's involvement in church began early when he became an Altar Boy at twelve.

At sixteen, a youth camp proved transformative as William embraced Christianity. Joining Elim Gospel Hall in 1985, he found purpose in serving youth. Yet, he recognized the challenge of engaging young people in traditional church settings.

In 2008, William co-founded IpohBug, an outreach program using sports as a conduit for evangelism. Starting with fifteen boys, the program rapidly expanded, prompting the introduction of various sports and attracting a multitude of athletes.

The initiative's success led to its spread across Malaysia, with William spearheading the training of leaders and volunteers. In 2014, while training leaders in South Korea, William crossed paths with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), initiating a partnership in 2015.

Through IpohBug, William has witnessed numerous athletes embrace Christianity, underscoring the power of sports ministry to reach the unchurched. For him, the soccer field and other sports arenas are sacred spaces for spreading the Gospel, embodying his conviction to bring the church to where people are.

ABOUT FURNITURE

  • L&C (brand)

L&C Stendal was founded in Germany at the end of the 19th century and pioneered metalworking in the furniture industry.

Their first collaboration began in the 1920s when they exclusively produced various Bauhaus designs,

which led to international popularity and great success.

In the 1930s, the company began producing chrome-plated steel furniture for interiors.

Following a long tradition, the company continues to produce high quality chrome steel furniture to this day,

Through continuous product development, we turn various ideas into marketable products.

  • Comeback 041

Comeback is a tubular steel stacking chair that was used millions of times in restaurants, cafeterias, canteens and private homes before the fall of the Berlin Wall. L&C Stendal offers this successful and proven model as a redesign. The chair has been technically and optically improved, but its design has remained virtually unchanged, and is now available in many colors. For many users, the space-saving aspect of stacking is just as important as the principle of arranging all components in a row so that they can be extended together. The simple and understated appearance of the chair once again shows that function and use are clearly in the foreground.
