  • "Direction in Life"- Willie's Story

Willie was born and raised in a Buddhist family in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

He was a very rebellious teenaager, started smoking at the age of eight. His volatile personality got him into troubles at school and even with policeofficers. Despite his unbearable behavior, his Christian friends invited him to church meetings where he met a Christian girl and dated her for a short time. His next girlfriend was not unlike him: she smoked like a chimney and loved to party, and her behavior made Willie see himself in her. And he began to ask himself. "Do I want to go on living like this?" He broke up with her and began to look for direction in his life. Soon after, the Christian girl he dated, invited him back to church, and although his heart was still hard, he began to ask questions about Christianity. At the same time, he knew that somewhere deep down, God was at work in his life. Before he knows it, his life was no longer hopeless. He was also able to stop smoking, a habit that had lasted 17 years. With the perseverance and steadfast love of sincere Christian friends, he finally gave his life to Jesus in May 2005. God has continued to provide through Willie's friends for 10 years, drawing him closer to Him. And the christian girl is Willie's wife today.

"Now I understand the meaning of 'direction in life' and that is to have Jesus as the anchor of everything I have and everything I do. Praise the Lord for His mercy and love for He never gave up on me!"

Now Willie is helping many athletes and coaches find direction in their lives, pointing them to the Kingdom of God.

ABOUT FURNITURE

  • WILDE + SPIETH(brand)

Originally created in 1831, Wilde Spieth was redesigned in the late 1940s in close collaboration with designer Egon Eyerman. Today, the modern and classic design is beloved by architects and design enthusiasts alike, and remains unique and of the highest quality.

  • SE68 SU

Instantly recognizable by its distinctive silhouette, Egon Eiermann's SE 68 multipurpose chair continues to quietly claim its status as a mid-century icon. A tubular steel frame complements an organically shaped molded wood seat and back - the SE 68 was the first chair in Germany to combine these materials. Giving furniture a "human dimension" was Eiermann's goal, and as anyone who has experienced the chair's ergonomic comfort can attest, no one achieved this goal as elegantly as the prescient architect himself. SE 68 can be customized with upholstery and armrests.

    Design: Egon Eiermann, 1951
